Kyle Chandler

In the Beginning

Kyle Martin Chandler was born on September 17, 1965. His birthplace is Buffalo, New York. Chandler is the four children of Edward Chandler who worked as a cigarette sales representative and farm owner. Sally Jeanette, the mother of Kyle Chandler, worked as a dog breeder. Chandler's older broth even helped Chandler to develop a Southern accent for Bloodline and Friday Night Lights. Chandler was raised around Chicago, Illinois. When he turned eleven his family decided to move to Loganville, Georgia. Chandler's parents raised show dogs and even brought him along to dog shows when he was a child. Chandler's interest in the theater didn't start until he enrolled in the theater program at Walton. Once he graduated high school Chandler went on to attend the University of Georgia. He was a drama member and major for the 1984 Sigma Nu fraternity. Chandler was able to get a bachelor's degree in 1988 in drama but dropped out of the university in order to pursue a deal he was offered for television.

Career Accomplishments

Chandler is best known for his roles on the big screen. He plays Bruce Baxter, the 1930 film star in the film King Kong. Later on, Chandler even played John Driscoll in the film The Day the Earth Stood Still. He had an Emmy nominated guest role he did on Grey's Anatomy. Chandler has won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series due to the role he played as Coach Tayler for the final season of the show Friday Night Lights.

Most Known For

Chandler is known for many of the roles he's played over the years. Friday Night Lights is one of them, but there are a few others he's starred in people may recognize him for. Chandler has appeared in The Wolf of Wall Street when it was released in 2013. He played the role of Patrick Denham in a film who is an FBI agent in the movie. Chandler played the lead role in a science fiction movie called Super 8. Recently Chandler has played in the Netflix original series Bloodline as well.

Where Is He Now

Chandler married Kathryn Macquarrie in 1995. He met his wife in the dog park during the 1990s. They have since had two daughters, Sawyer and Sydney. His daughter Sawyer and Chandler have been very active in order the end shark finning. Chandler has done a lot with his life. It's a rather colorful, but interesting background he has. In college, he was involved with drama but dropped out due to a television deal he received. He started out on a rather high note and has continued to maintain it ever since. While Chandler may not have the most glamorous career when compared to other actors. He gives back to the community in many ways and has kept his career steady throughout the entire time. It's going to be interesting where Chandler's career is going to lead him next on his journey.
