Seinfeld grew up in Massapequa, New York and spent time during his adolescence volunteering in Israel. He attended the State University of New York at Oswego before transferring to Queens College, City University of New York and graduating with a degree in communications and theater. Seinfeld met Jessica Sklar, a public relations executive for Tommy Hilfiger in August 1998. Sklar, a newlywed, had been in couples’ therapy with her then-husband prior to meeting Seinfeld. She divorced him and married Seinfeld on Christmas Day, 1999. After the wedding, the couple bought Billy Joel’s Amagansett, Long Island home.
